什么是 “in addition”?
in addition 是一个常用的英语连接性短语,用于引出额外的信息或补充内容,相当于中文的“此外”、“另外”或“而且”。
基本用法
in addition 通常位于句首或句中,后接逗号,再引出新信息:
- In addition, we need to consider the budget.
- She speaks French fluently. In addition, she knows Spanish and Italian.
“in addition to” 的结构
更常见的形式是 in addition to + 名词/动名词,表示“除了……之外(还)”:
- In addition to English, he studies Japanese.
- In addition to working full-time, she volunteers on weekends.
注意:in addition to 后面不能直接跟完整句子(即不能接从句),需使用名词或动名词形式。
与相似表达的区别
常与以下短语混淆,但用法略有不同:
- Moreover / Furthermore:语气更强,多用于正式写作,强调逻辑递进。
- Besides:口语中更常见,也可表示“况且”或“除此之外”。
- Also:位置灵活,但不如
in addition正式。
