Christian Kerez (born 1962) is a Swiss architect and photographer based in Zurich. Known for his minimalist and conceptually rigorous approach, Kerez explores the limits of architectural form, structure, and spatial experience.
He studied architecture at ETH Zurich and established his own practice in 1993. In addition to his built works, Kerez is celebrated for his experimental unbuilt projects and theoretical contributions to contemporary architecture.
Kerez represented Switzerland at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2016 and received the prestigious Le Corbusier Prize in 2022. He has also been a professor at ETH Zurich, influencing a new generation of architects through teaching and research.
