Ingredients
- For the dough:
- 2 ¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- For the sauce:
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste

- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, etc.

Instructions
- Make the dough: In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add olive oil, salt, and 3 ½ cups flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if too sticky.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the sauce: While the dough rises, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15–20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it in half (for two pizzas). Roll out each portion on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza peel lined with parchment paper. Spread sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Add cheese and your favorite toppings.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy!
